Spring Padding - Lamina-Press

Leaf Type Spring Guarantees Full Size Rolls

30mm (1.2") Band

45mm (1.75") Band

An ironer roll designed to be padded to 24" (610mm) diameter that loses only 2/10 inch (5mm) of diameter loses 20% of ironing capacity.
Leaf type Lamina-Press is the solution to these padding compression problems.
Lamina-Press keeps the ironer roll at 100% of designed size.  And, because of the leaf shape, exactly equal pressure is transmitted to the chest.  No longer are heavy 800 to 1000 gram per square meter covering felts required to eliminate spring "printing" on the work.  These heavy felts actually contribute to padding compression.  Yet the lighter covering felts can last the same length of time.

High Efficiency - Top Quality
Lamina-Press keeps the ironer roll contacting the entire designed chest area, guaranteeing the most efficient drying, and faster production speed.
Finished work has straight leading edges and perfectly smooth surfaces.

Simplified Cover, Installation & Replacement
Each claw on each leaf tightly grips the felt cover; there is no slippage.  Covering felts are installed simply by wrapping around the roll, even when hot, with no fastenings, and little time wasted

Durability
Flatwork ironer pads work under the extreme conditions of high temperature and humidity, sometimes with the added catalyst of residual wash acidity.
Lamina-Press is manufactured of stainless steel, which will not corrode in these conditions, and will maintain its resilience for almost unlimited periods of time.
(Note: even stainless steel will corrode if sodium hypochlorite is present, due to insufficient rinsing)

Low Cost
Our unique integrated and rationalized production system enables us to supply Lamina-Press at lower cost.

Operating Costs Savings
Investment in Lamina-Press in many cases eliminates any further padding cost for the useful life of the ironer, Lamina-Press can easily last 10, possibly 20 years, during which only the top felt covering needs replacement.

Further, Lamina-Press, because of the exaclty even pressure exerted upon each sector of roll/chest contact area, allows lighter and therefore cheaper felts to have a long life (even 18 to 24 months).
Since replacement of covers is always recommended when the top wrap is worn, using one wrap can cut covering costs in half.
